Community Ambassadors’ commitment to Hoboken’s Vision Zero imitative can vary depending on their skillset and audience. Examples of Community Ambassador roles include:

• Distributing Vision Zero educational materials at a block party or street fair

• Hosting a neighborhood meeting to discuss Vision Zero projects

• Marshalling neighbors to advocate for a Vision Zero safety improvement

​

• Collecting data to make the case for Vision Zero safety improvements on their block

​

• Engaging with a Community of Concern about Vision Zero

​

• Speaking the “language” of Vision Zero (e.g. saying “crash” not “accident”)

​

• If teaching children about Vision Zero, use resources from the Safe Routes to School Toolkit
